Town Road Talks was created by five-time elected Wisconsin legislator Dave Considine and political organizer Rebecca Powell to bridge the gap between rural communities and progressive values. Through honest conversations, in-depth policy discussions, and real stories from those who live and work in rural America, we aim to make complex issues more accessible and relatable.
Our mission is to provide clear, fact-based insights on the issues that matter most—agriculture, healthcare, education, and economic development—while fostering meaningful dialogue and engagement. More than just a podcast, Town Road Talks is a resource hub, connecting rural communities with essential programs, grants, and support services, from USDA funding opportunities to rural healthcare cooperatives and small business assistance.
By amplifying rural voices and highlighting how progressive policies benefit small towns and farming communities, we strive to empower voters, challenge misconceptions, and build a more inclusive and informed democracy.
